Review: Alverde Aqua Peeling Pearl

Hey everyone,
I just lately ran out of my peeling (or exfoliator, call it how you like to), the Yves Rocher Apricot Peeling. click here for the review! And I decided to get a different one. When I went to dm I saw this one and wanted to give it a try! Let's see how I liked it:

Information:
- contains 50 ml for 1.95 Euros at dm
- is from the Alverde Aqua Series which is for normal and combination oily skin
- you're supposed to use it once or twice a week on your face, neck and decollete
- promises to even out your complexion and clean your skin off anything

Positives:
+ light, citrusy scent (if you like it)
+ price
+ good ingredients from a natural cosmetics line
+ exfoliates the skin nicely, removes all of the dirt, sweat and dead skincells
+ works well for my skin: hasn't broken me out of anything

Negatives:
- only available at dm
- there aren't that much of the little peeling things/pearls inside of it, I prefer more
- doesn't leave my skin with that squeaky-clean feeling which I like about peelings

Bottom Line:
I do like this stuff, and it really good, but I still prefer the Yves Rocher Apricot Peeling which I reviewed here *click*, so I'll get a new bottle of that after I finished this one by Alverde.

I'm happy with this peelinga anyway! Do you like this, too?
I'll see you later!

Review: Yves Rocher Apricot Peeling

Hey everyone,
today I have a little review about a peeling for you! It's the Apricot Peeling by Yves Rocher, the one I actually mentioned in my skincare routine *click*.
I've run out of it now and decided to tell you about my thought on it, because I already got a different peeling that I'll be using soon, and I don't want to leave this unmentioned :) Just so you know ahead of time: I didn't rebuy it because I wanted to try something different, not because I don't like it!
But now, let's get into the review:

Information:
- called Yves Rocher Apricot Stone Peeling
- Available at Yves Rocher stores and online at yves-rocher.com
- costs 6.50 Euros for 50 ml; most of the time you get 40-50% off
- smells like apricots (what a surprise ;))
- botanical-based ingredients
- you're supposed to use it once or twice a week

Positives:
+ nice scent
+ botanical-based ingredients
+ price
+ has a nice amount of peeling particles in it
+ removes all the dirt, dead skin cells and cleans the pores nicely
+ leaves my skin with that squeaky-clean feeling
+ doesn't break me out or anything
+ the little bottle lasts me at least 4 months with once-a-week-usage
sorry for this disgusting picture, but I tought you would like to see the consistency

Negatives:
- not really easy to get: you either drive to the store which is only in bigger cities or you order it online and pay for shipping :P

Bottom Line:
I really like this peeling! I cleans my skin and the product I apply afterwards can work in really nicely. I think I will go back to this when I finished trying something else!

What do you think of this peeling? Do you have a different favorite one?
I'll see you soon!

My Skincare Routine

Hey guys :)
I thought I might show you my skin care routine, just because I stopped using the Clinique line a few weeks ago. I know that there are a ton of young people out there, dealing with pimples, acne and blemishes, and some spend so much money on expensive skin care products that don't work after all.
I found a inexpensive line at the drugstore that works for my skin, and I think it's a good idea to show this one to you. Of course, every skin is different, please keep that in mind! So I can't promise you this will work for you, but it might, and even if it doesn't - it's very inexpensive!
The products I'm talking about are from Synergen, from the line for skin with blemishes and stuff. They're the ones that come in navy blue packagings.
My Skin Care Routine:
MORNING:
First, I wash my face using the Synergen Wash Creme for skin with blemishes. It contains little peeling particles which I think is really nice, and they're not too harsh. It also cleanses my skin really nicely and leaves it very clean. but not dried out.
Then I just use the Synergen Hydro-Fluid for skin with blemishes. It has a nice light consistency, like a gel, but when you apply it to your face, it kinda turns into a more rich lotion. I really like it, but it might not be moisturizing enough for people with dry skin.
And that's it!
NIGHT:
Again, I wash my face using the Synergen Wash Creme. This one gets rid off all of my make-up, so I don't need an additional make-up remover. When I wore a lot of make-up, I wash my face a second time using this product, just to cleans it more thoroughly.
Next, I use the Synergen Toner for skin with blemishes. I don't use this every night, just when I feel I need it. I don't think it's good to use it that often, because it contains alcohol and that can dry out your skin. That's also the reason why I don't use it in the morning.
When I have an extremely big pimple or something, I use the Synergen Anti-Spot-Gel. It works really well and dries out any pimples pretty fast.
I don't use a moisturizer at night.
Once A Week:
I exfoliate my skin once a week and for that I use the Yves Rocher Apricot Peeling. I really like it, and it makes my skin super-squeaky-clean :)
In winter, I sometimes add a moisturizing mask, but that one is kind optional for me and I don't even have a regular one I grab for, I just get one that seems nice ;)

This is the first time I have a skin care routine that just uses products from one brand (except for the exfoliator). Normally I kinda switch it up...don't know, maybe it's because these work so well for me. If I had to pick my favorite product out of this routine, it would be the Wash Creme.
Do you use any of these products as well? Or what do you use it your skin care routine? I'd like to know :)
Until then!
xoxo, Misch

Skincare Tip: Steam Bath

Hello everyone,
today I have a skincare tip for you! It's something I like to do as well, especially in fall and winter.

What do I need?
- water
- something to boil water
- a towel
- a bowl
- something good for your skin to put into the water, for example camomile tea
- optional: skin care products/masks

How to do a steam bath?
First, boil water. While it gets hot, remove all of you make-up and pin your hair back. Pour the hot water into a bowl and put something in it that helps your skin, for example camomile tea or some lemon. Then let it cool down for a short while so it's not too hot for your face. Hold your face over the bowl and put the towel over your head so none of the steam can go away. Then breath in steam and stay like this for 5 to 10 minutes, if you like to, you can also do it longer. You will sweat, so wash your face afterwards and use a product if you want to.

How does it work?
The steam will open up you pores and help to cleanse them. It'll bring all of the bad stuff, bacteria and dirt to the surface, leaving your pores really clean. Sweating will also help clearing your skin from bad stuff. When you wash your face afterward, it'll leave the pores still open, so that's the perfect time to do a mask or use a really rich moisturizer because since the pores are open, they can absorb the product better and it'll work more for your skin. It can break you out the day after you did the steam bath, just because it brings all of the bacteria and stuff to the surface. But these breakout will disappear pretty soon. Steam baths will also help if you have a cold or something.
It's definitely worth doing often, like once or twice a week.

Personally, I really like this skincare tip. It works for my skin and it's so relaxing, too :)
Tell me if you try it out!
Bye, Misch

Clinique Anti Blemish Solutions Skincare Line Week 4

Hey Beauties,
this is my last post about the Clinique Anti Blemish Solutions Skincare Line. Not because I used it up, but because I stopped using it. It just didn't work for my skin and caused me even more breakouts. I already thought about stopping to use it, but I always told myself to keep trying, I thought it might take my skin a while to get used to it. And I know, it takes your skin 3 months to get used to a product, but I think after one month you should be able to tell wheter it'll work for you or not. It just broke out my skin and never removed those breakouts. I heard a lot of people saying that they love this skin care line and that it worked so well for them. Well....not for me, unfortunately. I would have loved to find this one working for my skin, but it doesn't. Every skin is different. I switched back to my old skincare system this weekend and it already helped my skin so much. This one is definitely the best stuff for my skin from the ones I tried so far. I might do a skincare routine for you sometime soon if you are interested in that. Leave a comment and tell me!
Now, the question at the end of every review: do I recommend it?
Well, personally, I can't really recommend it, just because it didn't work for me. But I heard so many people raving about this stuff, so yes, I do recommend it, since every skin is different. I can't promise it'll work for you, it didn't for me, but you can try it out. Though, I only recommend getting it when it's on sale as this little kit. Honestly, the skincare line isn't that great that I would pay that much money for the full sizes. So if you want to give it a try, get it when it comes in the little kit for 9 Euros.
I'm actually happy I didn't get another kit as I planned at first, and I'll give the rest that is still left over from my, more than half of it, to a friend. Maybe she'll be happy with it.

I hope you liked this review in a series! Let me know whether you want more of this kind of review, okay? Also, did it work for you? Or do you know anyone that likes this line?
Until next time! xoxo, Misch

Clinique Anti Blemish Solutions Skincare Line - Week 3

Hey everyone!
this is just a quick update on my experiences with the Clinique Anti Blemish Solutions Skincare Line.
This week it basically did nothing for my skin. The huge brakouts it caused me last week got removed, but only partly. My skin didn't really get any worse, nor did it get better. I have no idea whether it'll help me in the future.
Ther toner is now about half way empty, and the moisturizer is also getting a bit less. Only the soap still seams to be almost as big as before.
Something I thought about is, that since I'm in my teenage years, it might not do abything at all against my breakouts and acne, because these are caused by hormons. I think I just have these huge expectation in the line, because it's so expensive and I heard good things about it.

I'll see you guys later!
xoxo, Misch

Clinique Anti Blemish Solutions Skincare Line - Week 2

Hi there!

today I have another weekly episode of my Clinique skincare line!
This week it first seemed to be okay with my skin and to help it. But now, it broke me out at the weekend! Of course, I can't prove that it really was the Clinique skincare line, but I haven't eaten anything else, nor did I used a different product! I have no idea...but I hope it'll go away soon and won't happen again!
The Soap Bar got smaller, of course, now you can't read the Clinique stamp anymore. The toner contains about 1 quarter to 1 third less product, but with the moisturizer I can't tell, because the packaing isn't clear. I think it contains more than the toner still does, because I only use the moisturizer in the a.m.

I'll update you about it again next week!

Clinique Anti Blemish Solutions Skincare Line - Week 1

Hi again,
here is my update on the Clinique skin care line. I've been using it for a week now, and I guess I should tell you about my experience with it.

I really really like the Cleansing Soap Bar. It cleanses my skin so nicely and gently and removes every dirt, sweat or make-up. It a great one, after using it, my skin is squeaky-clean.
The Clarifying Lotion, however, isn't the best toner I ever had. It leaves my skin really cleanly, but it really burns on my skin, especially when I have some sore parts on my skin, and it kinda feels like it dries out my skin. But something I like about it, is that my skin feels so free of any bad things, can't really describe it. :) It seems to get used up very quickly, unfortunately.
The moisturizer is okay, although I hate the scent. I have to get used to it :) But it's pretty nice, it's a light gel consistency that soaks in very quickly. However, this isn't the product for people with dry skin, because for that it's not moisturizing enough.

At first the skin care line seemed to break me out, and I was already really unhappy, but all of the breakouts it caused me, got removed by it within a few days. Now my skin is as clear - or not clear, depends on how you take it - as it was before. I'm curious whether it'll do something for my skin next week!

Do you want to know anything else? Should I mention something else in this weekly mini-review? Tell me!

Okay guys, I'll see you later! Until next time, xoxo, Misch

Halloween Tutorials: Blue Smokey Eye

Hi guys,
today it's time for my first Halloween Tutorial! I'm gonna say it now: This is not supposed to be a whole look or a costume, it's just a colored eye make-up, because I know that some people (me for example) don't like to wear complete makeovers, so a colorful "normal" look would be the thing to choose! Also, if you want to see any certain colors or something, go ahead and tell me :)
For this look, I started off by using a blue cream eyeshadow (TheBodyShopCream Eye Colour in 04 blueberry) on the outer half of my lid. Then I used several blue eyeshadows to create the look (120 palette, Rival de Loop Yound eyeshadow Quattro in 02 blue lagoon). All you wanna do is work your way back from the inner corner to the outer corner, getting the colors darker. Make sure to blend very well! In the very inner corner I applied a shimmery baby blue (Jesse's Girl Eyedust in Baby Blues), then I used the two lighter colors of the RdLY quattro on the lid and when it came to the crease, I first shaded it with the third color of the RdLY quattro and the blended the transition to the lid color with the tow colors from the 120 palette. The V-area had to get darker to give the look more dimension, so I applied the last color from the RdLY quattro, a blue-ish black. Then I blended the whole look towdards the brow using a nude skin tone color (Catrice Nude Cream) and used that a highlight as well.
On the lower lashline I just applied the two mid colors of the RdLY quattro to complete the eyeshadows. For eyeliner I used the Essence Black Mania Pencil and and the Essence Denim Wanted Geleyeliner in 01 vintage style. RdLY diamond wish mascara was used for the lashes.
Where blush is concerned, I just used a bronzer, but go with anything not too bright that you like. For my lips I used a light red lipgloss (Essence; don't know the name, it's old). If you want it to be more wearable, do a nude lip!
I really like this look, I think it's pretty! See this as a inspiration and change it the way you like it, using you own products! You could wear this when you are sailor for halloween, for example.
Do you have any color combinations or looks that I should do? Leave a comment and tell me!

Used It Up!: I finished my Evian facial spray, really liked it, but lately it started to smell bad :P

I hope you liked this one, I will try to do two looks a week, forgive me if I'm not able to!
Make sure to check back later, because I will post my Clinique skin care experiences, week 1!

September 2010 Favorites

Hey guys,
September's already over and now it's really getting fall - grey and rainy outside, but really cozy inside: it's time for spending the evenings in front of the TV, drinking a cup of hot tea:) I love love love this season so much

Evian facial spray - this stuff is so amazing :) it moisturizes, refreshes and cares my skin so well, and the mist is so fine. I used it several times a day, and I'm almost out of it :( I'll get a new one, though :)

TheBodyShop Born Lippy lipbalm in raspberry - I really like this lip balm, it tastes great, cares my lips and gives a nice pink shine. Definitely a fav.

Yves Rocher Aquarelles Vegetales Perfume - Y'all know that I love this scent so much - and I still do :) I used it a lot during this month.

Essence Soft Matt eyeshadow in 03 Silky Smooth - School started again for me this month and so I had to do a lot of nude looks everday and this eyeshadow was my go-to color. It's a matte chocolate brown, perfect to fill in my eyebrows, to darken up my outer corner or to simply shade my crease. This color is so convenient!

Beliance Foundation Brush - This brush is perfect to apply my foundation, I really like it!

Jesse's Girl Enamel in Garnet - This is such a perfect color for fall :) it looks very similar to Chanel Rouge Noir and I love it

p2 nail polish thinner - I had a lot of problems with too thick nail polishes this month and this one helped me a lot.

My Uggs - These aren't real Ugg Boots, but I still love them. So cute shoes :)

McDonalds Mocha Frappe - I love McDonalds Mocha Frappe so much (I kinda love everything in this post...), it tastes so amazing

So guys, these were my favs for the month of September. What were yours?

Clinique Anti Blemish Solutions Skincare Line - Day 1

Hey again,
as I told you yesterday, I used the Clinique Anti Blemish Solutions Skincare Line today for the first time. Now I'm going to tell you about my experience with it. I'll go on like that until I used you the whole set, so expect a post every tuesday!
The Cleansing Soap Bar:
It lathers really nicely and cleanses the skin really deeply. It didn't remove all of my make-up, but it also doesn't claim to do that. I really liked how deep cleansed and cared my skin felt after I washed it with the soap. It didn't dry out my skin.

The Clarifying Lotion:
I soaked a cotton pad with it and swept all over my face. Since it was such an intense alcohol smell, I expected it to burn on my face, but it didn't. It only seemed to tighten my skin, but not in way that feels dry. It just felt clean afterwards.

The Clearing Moisturizer:
This one has a really light gel consistency and has this weird, minty scent, that is noticeable for a while, unfortunately. It seemed to moisturize my skin enough, I didn't have any dry feelings.

You are supposed to use all things twice a day, but I just use the moisturizer in the a.m., because I'm more comfortable with that.
So far, I'm pretty happy about it. Of course, by now I can't really tell if it works, but we'll see how it looks like next week!
I'll see you guys soon!
xoxo, Misch

Clinique Anti Blemish Solutions Skincare Line

Hi Beauties,
today I got a new skincare line from clinique! It's the Anti Blemish Solutions line and it came in a little kit.
The kit comes with a little white and mint beauty bag, a soap bar, a clarifying lotion and a clearing moisturizer. The whole kit costs just 9 Euros (a special sale on Clinique.com and at Mueller stores that is just available this week, starting today) and it's a super chance to try it out without spending too much money!

The Cleansing Soap Bar:
It's supposed to help with breakouts on face and body and to pervent them. The size that comes in the kit is 50g. The normal size is 150g for 19 Euros. I payed about 3 Euros for this soap bar if you devide the prize into 3 parts for the three different products, and it's so much more inexpensive to get it that way! It smells just like any normal soap.

The Clarifying Lotion:
It's supposed to exfoliate you skin, remove dead skin cells and any dirt or oil. You should get it on a cotton ball and then sweep it all over you face, so I guess it's like a toner. It comes in a 60ml/2 fl.oz. size and is, again, something around 3 Euros in this kit. The normal size is 200ml/6.7 fl.oz. and costs 19 Euros. So, again, it's ways more inexpensive in this kit. It smells totally like alcohol.

The Cleaning Moisturizer:
It's oil-free and made to treat blemishes and prevent new ones. It's a 30ml/1 fl.oz. size and is in the kit 3 Euros, whereas for the normal size you have to pay 25 Euros for 50ml/1.7 fl.oz.. much more inexpensive that way. It smells a bit weird and a bit minty.

I so excited to try these out! I'm going to start tomorrow, September 28th, and then I'll go on and post about it every tuesday, telling you about my thoughts, how it works, how my skin reacts and so on!
If you would like to try this kit out as well, then I'd say you'd better be fast to get one for that little money! They also have kits of the Moisturizing and the Anti Aging line.
I hope you think this is interesting, because I'm so excited about it! :) Yay!
Okay, I'll see you guys soon!
xoxo, Misch

How to get beautiful skin

Hi dear readers,
today I have something about skincare for you. Every skin is different and you can never be sure that a product that works wonders for you friend works as well on you. But the tips I have for you are pretty easy, it's not about products and it could work for anyone of you!
Wanna know how to get beautiful skin? Learn more:

Drink enough - I know, sometimes I'm not thirsty or I just forget to drink, but if you drink 2 liters a day, it can really improve your skin. Of course, you should drink maily water, it doesn't help if you drink 2 liters a day, but these are just soda and alcohol. Water and juice, mixed with water, are perfect. 2 liters sounds ways too much for you? Try the 8 glasses rule: 1 glas in the morning, 1 in the forenoon, 2 at lunch, 1 in the afternoon, 2 at dinner and 1 at night. It doesn't look like that much now, does it?

Stay moisturized - It's so important for your skin to be hydrated and to stay hydrated. A lot of things can dry out you skin, for example cold weather or harsh skin care products, so you need to give the moisture back to you skin. On the one hand you should drink a lot - as mentioned above - and you should use a good moisturizer and maybe even a hydrating mask. So, after you washed your face in the morning, apply you moisturizer, and if you need to, also at night after cleansing you face.

Find products that work for you - Almost everyone knows that: Your friend has perfect skin, you try the same products she uses, and you skin just gets worse. That's because every skin is different and every skin needs different things. So it's all about knowing your skin and its needs and finding the perfect skin care routing for it. There's almost no other option that trying out and deciding whether it works or not. Just try to help your skin and to fulfil its needs. Also keep in mind that it takes your skin 3 months to get used to skin care products, to if they don't show any results after a week, give it some it. I recommed using up the whole bottle or container before you decide on rebuying it or trying something new.

Eat healthy - Having an unhealthy diet is something that is the cause for skin problems most of the time. But if you eat enought fruit, vegetable and other healthy stuff, you'll get a better skin! You don't have to completely give up pizza and hamburgers, just don't eat them too often.

Do sports - If you do sports a few times a week, and together with the healthy diet, you will notice huge changes in you skin pretty soon. It's all about being fit and healthy.

Don't wear too much make-up - It's sometimes really hard for us beauty junkies: We love make-up, but on the other hand it's ways better for the skin not to wear nay of it. But I guess it can't be too bad for the skin if you wear mae-up pretty often, just look at the ingredients and don't get stuff that is too bad for your skin. And also: give your skin a break from make-up just try to do a few make-up free days a month. If you're alone at home on the weekend, nobody will notice whether you wear make-up or not.

Cleanse you skin - It's so important to wash you skin twice a day! In the morning you can wash of any product you had on your skin over the night and you remove the sweat on your face. In the evening you want to cleanse it well, so all of the make-up and the dirt from the day gets removed. Only when you skin is completely clean, it can breath, it can recover and it is able to absord some product. Cleansing you skin will also remove dead skin cells, a exfoliator would do that, too, but try not to exfoliate you skin too often, once a week is fine.

Sleep enough - Every one knows it, the BEAUTY SLEEP, and it's definitely necessary! While you sleep, your skin can recover and get better. So, Ladys, sleep enough!

I know my skin is far from perfect, but this really works! You can see you skin getting better and other people can do that, too! :)

So I hope you found this helpful! Do you already observe the rules or are some rules completely new to you? Tell me about your experience with skin care! :) I'd like to know.

I'll see you guys later! xoxo, Misch

Beauty Essentials For School

Hey everyone out there,
today I want to show you the beauty products I take to school with me. Keep in mind that these are just my beauty essentials for school, everyone finds other things necessary! I would love to see your beauty essentials for school, so if you do a blogpost about it, send me the link or just write the products in the comments!
And now, let's get started:

Essence Pure Skin Oil Control Paper Green Tea - I have oily skin which means that blotting tissues are a must for me. I especially like to use them after sports class.

Labello Lipcare Velvet Rose - It's just a basic lip balm and I always have one with me, but not always by Labello.

Manhattan ClearFace Coverstick in 76 sand - Just in case I get a pimple or my make-up fades over the day, then I would need it.

CadeaVera Compact Powder in Beige - I apply my powder after I blotted my face and this is one of my favorite pressed powders.

Black Mascara - This one is just the tiniest one I have, I always take black mascara with me.

Essence 2in1 Kajal Pencil in 01 Black & White - Black and white are the most basic colors and for eyeliner they're always useable.

Essence Volume & Gloss Lip Maximizer in 06 crazy about you - This lipgloss doesn't add a lot of color to the lips, but it adds a lot of shine and it tastes minty, and that's perfect for everyday.

Yves Rocher Watercolor Effect Blush in Corail Nude - You know I love this stuff :) A little bit of blush can change your whole appearence, and this blush is super easy to use and small enough to carry it with you everywhere.

Essence Blush Brush - It's a pretty small brush and I use it to apply the compact powder.

Isana Med Hand Sanitizer - At school there are so many people with different illnesses, so a hand sanitizer always comes in handy.

These are the products I take to school with me! Do you take more products with you? Or do you think that make-up is not necessary at school?
I'd like to know! :)
Bye, Misch
