Summer Angel

Hey ladies, I'm back... I hope you all had a great Xmas and new year. I just thought I would do a quick post on a little discovery I made on Christmas eve.

As we all know Superdrug had 3 for 2 on cosmetics over Christmas. Now I'm not one to spend money when I don't have too *cough cough lies!* but I do like to think that technically I am saving if theres an offer on. So I picked up a couple of bits then I started searching the shelves for a 3rd item,oh the stress nothing would do! until .....

*Insert Angel music*

I saw this beauty sitting on the shelf just dieing to be swatched. At first I thought nothing of it, and after I swatched it I put it back. But then I heard that little voice inside of me (you girls know the voice I mean) the one that says," if you don't buy me now your going to get home and regret it, and you know when you bring yourself back to this shop, I ain't gonna be here!!"

Don't fear ladies, as you can see from the pictures above I clearly listened to the voice. If your ever in superdrug or boots and you see Rimmel Summer Angel pick it up!! I'm not usually a fan of pink lipstick at all, but this is so pretty, it gives lips a subtle hint of colour, enough for people to say "ooh whats that" and it isn't at all drying. It is now my everyday go to lippie.

30 Second Smokey Eye

I made this purchase after viewing THIS video on Glamours site. I am a sucker for a smokey eye, and to be honest I have probably already got an identical colour to this laying around gathering dust somewhere, but I couldn't help myself.

The shade 'Night Jewel' available from the Rimmel Glam eyes mono range, is perfect for the Christmas season as it has a touch of sparkle but not too much.

Swatched lightly with my finger, at first glance the colour pay off didn't really impress me. But when applied with a brush its a totally different story.
The colour is much deeper, and to be honest these pictures don't really do it justice. The deep metallic tone is perfect for those who may find black too harsh. I have slightly exaggerated the look so my annoying camera would pick it up,but when done subtly it gives such a nice definition to the eyes, especially if they are light in colour like mine.

How to achieve the look

1.Simply pat the eyeshadow all over the lid using an eyeshadow brush, the more you pack on the deeper the colour.

2. Then blend out the edges using a blending brush ( anything small and fluffy will do)

That's it, your done!

Bargain Bits

The other day whilst in superdrug I picked up a couple of things I never usually buy.

Collection 2000's 16 hour wear concealer and a lipstick from the MUA range.

First up is the lippie in shade 11.I ended up buying this because it was the first time I had played with the MUA range,and after swatching away like a kid in a candy store,I liked this colour the best.

Im not sure how to describe the colour,but you can make up your own mind from the swatch above.

You can see the moisture in this lipstick and suprisingly it lasts.I say suprisingly,because it only cost £1

Next up,concealer...

Iv never wear concealer,but after seeing so many reviews on this,I had to pick it up.(never know when you may need it)

Above there are 2 swatches.On the left a solid swipe, and next to it,blended out.

I hope you can see the blended out swatch,as its the reason I fell in love with this.As well as concealing,it also brightens.

I think this costed about £3-4

Im actually loving these two things at the moment.

Mission aborted....

I was on a mission,a beauty mission,a mission that would leave me with longer stronger lashes in just 30 days.All I was armed with was this....

Rimmels new Lash Accelerator mascara

With claims that this could instantly make lashes appear 80% longer as well as helping to strengthen,renew and nourish lashed, due to its unique grow lash complex.I was sold,especially if I was going to have the said 117% longer fuller lashes in just 30 days.

So to get the best from this mascara you need to use it everday,which I did.

Its a nice mascara to apply,and it definitely lengthened my lashes after a couple of coats.

The brush is long and slightly curved,which allows you to catch all lashes in one sweep.I also like that its a fibre brush,as im not a fan of the plastic ones that are floating around.

Once aplied lashes aren't left feeling crispy,and its easy to remove.

I started this mission with an open mind,but sadly had to abort.After 8 days of usage my lashes started falling out.I carried on,and tried to ignore it,but after 10 days I aborted! the fall out was getting stupid,and I can already see my lashes are thinner than usual and looking rather sparse. :-(

On the plus side,when my lashes fell out,they were definitely looking longer than usual.....

Its just a pitty I couldnt carry on.

This was my individual experience with this product.What may not work for me,may work for others,and vice verser.

Have any of you tried this yet?

And if any of you know of any mascaras that offer amazing volume (not maybeline ones) please let me know,my lashes need you.....

Rimmel Steel Grey

This is another polish that I won from R3 Daily. Perfection! I love everything about this polish except for the name. I wouldn't call this Steel Grey! The formula was lovely and I am one of those weirdos who LOVE the wide brushes. I love the bottle shape and the crown on the top of the cap. Only 2 coats needed for a nice finish. I'll be buying more from this line in the future!

KOTD: "GREEN WITH ENVY"

HI LADIES!! 2 days ago I recieved a package from Sherry a.k.a. BERRY T she send me some polishes from her March purge..I am so lucky for I found my first rimmel ultimate lemming which is "green with envy" I'm always looking for this polish in every rimmel stall here but I'm so unlucky for haven't found it here!! I shorten my right hand nails coz I've got two broken nails

Lip Lovin

So I havent really been my usual blogging self for the past couple days,Partly because I have had a little mind block.Its still going but so not to drop behind on my posts,I thought I would share with you a few lip products that I have been loving at the moment.These are all the lip products ive been loving and using lately.

First up,trusty carmex.I use this every day with out fail.I pop it on my lips before I go to bed,and I pop it on whilst im doing my make up so that by the time I get to my lips they are lovely and soft.Its also a great base.I find it keeps my lipstick and gloss in place for longer.

Next up is my new love and another fave.Mac florabundance and Barry M lipgloss in toffee.I love both of these glosses and ever since florabundance dropped through the letter box I have been using it ever since.

Another fave of mine is Rimmel Nude delight.You can tell its a favourite by how worn down it is.Its such a nice peachy nude.It nice alone or teamed up with a gloss.

Im also loving the e.l.f mineral lipgloss in Fierce.Its a really nice coral colour.Even when the gloss fades it still leaves lips with a hint of colour.

Im loving everything coral,nude and peachy at the moment.What colours are you loving?

Rimmel Match Perfection

So whilst strolling around tesco on my weekly shop,I decided to hit up the make up isle,as you do.

I wanted to buy a new foundation as I just wasnt feeling my dream satin liquid anymore.I have to be careful when it comes to putting things on my face.At times my skin just doesnt appreciate me experimenting with new products.For example,revlon colour stay,used it once,next day I was greeted by a lovely group of bumps on my cheek.So not cool.

So anyway,one of the first foundations I ever bought was rimmel recover.I loved it,and my skin seemed to love it too.So I thought I would go back to rimmel as they had just bought out a new foundation

I liked this instantly because it had a pump.I really cant be dealing with an open top bottle,Its just a waste of product.

So I could only see 4 shades on Tesco's shelves,but after swatching away for a good ten minutes,then umming and arring and walking around the store looking at my flawless hand.I just had to go back and pick up a bottle.The shade I picked up was 201 classic beige..

When I first used it ,I was like damn,I think its too light.But after blending it out,the colour match technology kicked in.For the whole day I kept looking at my face in the mirror.It was flawless just like rimmel had promised

Its easy to blend,and there's no racing against the clock before it dries....The finish is a natural healthy dewy(but not to dewy) look

They also say it will last something like 16hrs.On my skin I found that It does last,unless I happen to nap lol,then it needs touching up

This foundation also has an oxygen complex to allow skin to breath,as well as the added bonus of spf 15,which saves me from putting on a separate cream

This is definitely my new love and Im going to be sticking with this for a while

For once my beauty senses never failed me,woo hooo

7. i much like a dog pet than a cat... ( i have 3 shitzhu small breed dog with long hairs, pug (MIB dog),2 rottweillers and a German sheperd) though i want to bring them here in Abu Dhabi i just leave them in Manila with their own nanny..lol
