Nubar Vaso

 Nubar Vaso, 2 coats

Vaso is from this year's Venetian Glass collection but it's definitely not a glass flecked polish but a foil if I ever saw one. The finish looks really bumpy and coarse but one coat of TC was enough to make the surface glass smooth. Colourwise, Zoya Areetha is a dead on dupe for Vaso - both are metallic lilacs. I'd love to like this lacquer but on me the colour is just... blah, and I'm not crazy about the finish either. Cranberries and Candied Yams Part III

I think that two days of turkey put me in a serious brain dead state because all I wanted to do was come home and do nothing. So I flaked out on my mani...more than just a wee bit.

All I did was take some Holly Good Times by Finger Paints (seriously love this polish!) and layer it over the Rising Star.

Then I said "Meh" and took it off and did this.

Nubar Peacock Feathers & Seche Vite FAIL

 Nubar - Peacock Feathers, 3 coats

I hate Seche Vite. Look how it shrank and pulled the lacquer underneath with it? I'm done with SV, I gave it a fair chance (and another... and another... and...) it's only good for pedicures. The Nubar wasn't that hot either, the formula was watery and the polish flooded my cuticles. The bristles were unusually hard (for a Nubar brush) and somewhat splayed. Blue, teal & turquoise spam! Pt. 3

Franken - Envy Me, Carl, 2 coats

I mixed half and half of H&M Envy Me and Spending Cash With Carl to get this unbelievably gorgeous deep teal shimmer.

Franken - Envy Me, Carl & Precision - After Dinner Mints, 2 coats

 Orly - It's Up to Blue, 2 coats

Orly - It's Up to Blue & Nubar - Blue Silver Glitter, 2 + 2 coats

I was disappointed by It's Up to Blue - it looked horrible against my skin - so I topped it with Blue Silver Glitter from Nubar. OMG sparklefest! The glitter is tiny and two coats gave just enough coverage the green-ness of the Orly to shine through.

 Franken - Under the Sea, 2 coats

 DICI - 046, 2 coats

HOMG this is the most metallic polish EVER, it's incredible and must seen with one's own eyes! DICI is a Chinese brand available on eBay and is chock-full of toxic ingredients judging by the smell. It applied beautifully, probably thanks to all the carcinogenic stuff that's in it.

Nubar 2010

Nubar 2010 is my first Nubar! I found it at my favorite crazy nail polish store in Tulsa for only $4! It works best as a topcoat & I hear that it's a dupe for Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure.

First we have one coat of Nubar 2010 over the amazing Fuggen Ugly from ManGlaze. I love it!

Next we have one coat of Nubar 2010 over the amazing Pure Ice French Kiss! This was taken in the shade. I love this too!!

And last but certainly not least, we have two coats of Nubar 2010 over Zoya Stacy! Super gorgeous and perfect for fall as it makes me think of autumn leaves. Below is a picture taken in the shade. So amazing!

I tried Nubar 2010 over a couple of lighter colors and didn't really like it much, but who cares it looks lovely over darker shades for sure!

What's your favorite flakie? I would Love to have some of the NFU-OH flakies!

Nubar Reef Green

This is 3 coats of Nubar Reef Green. It's a frosty lime green that leans a little blue. Nice formula but not very flattering on me.

Got's Me Da Baby Blues

Nubar Baby Blue that is. My baby is 15 and I'm ok with that.
Due to the fact that this is the only picture that turned out, it's the only one you get. :( Please pay no attention to my poor ignored cuticles *cringe*.
I'm actually quite enamored with this polish. It is the epitome of a baby blue, nice and soft and pale, something you'd envision a baby nursery being painted. It rather surprised me how very flattering it was on me. I don't usually think of pastels being my thing but I'm ok with being wrong.
This creamy polish went on with minimal streaking for the first coat and corrected out on the second.
Is it bad that I forget to count past the second coat? I can't remember whether this is a two or three coat picture...
This is actually my first Nubar polish. I must say, if all of them behave this nicely I'm sold. The place I picked this up is the only local location to carry them that I've found and has a very limited color range (like 20 colors maybe) so I'm going to have to branch to other avenues.

CHOCOLATE CRUSH CUPCAKE

HI LADIES!! Just a quick post for my Konadicure... Cupcake is one of my fave sweet specially when its chocolate.. My mom's choco cupcake is my all time fave... she always made her "special cupcake occasionally" her cupcake is made from Cocoa tablet that locally available in Philippines...ok so enough for my cup cake craving..and let me share to u the konadicure I made.. I used Nubar chocolate crush as a base then stamped the cup cake pattern from Konad ip konad m14 using konad special polish pastel pink & white and I'm done!! what do u think?
