Zoya Caitlin & A Water Marble

This is 2 coats of Zoya Caitlin. Easy application and an unexpected new favorite! It's a much lighter version of Zoya Kelly, which I'm wearing on my pinkie. Caitlin is a purplish grey creme that works great a s a neutral for me. I could wear it with a brown outfit since there is so much purple which I wouldn't normally do with a grey. Believe people when they say you need this one. It's unique and doesn't have any dupes that I can find.
The next night a did a quick water marble with the 2 colors. I love water marbling!

Zoya Dove & Layering With Zoya Raine

This is 2 coats of Zoya Dove. Very nice true grey creme with a good formula.

I layered it with 1 coat of Zoya Raine in the rest of the pictures.

Zoya Marley

This is 3 coats of Zoya Marley from their Intimate Collection. It's a pale lavender with just a slight hint of frosty silver. I have other pale lavenders, but none with this finish. Very pretty & a nice formula!

L.A. Girl Flare Burgundy

My sister Ashley, who got me into nail polish and helped me start this blog, recently sent me lots of her nail of the day photos. So I'll be featuring her nails sometimes this month instead of my own.
Here we have 3 coats of L.A. Girl Flare Burgundy, a super glossy creme with a great formula.

E.L.F. White (Worst Polish I've Ever Tried)

Let me start by saying that I love a lot of E.L.F. products. I use a couple of their blushes and I really like my All Over Color Stick in Pink Lemonade.
E.L.F. polish in white is truly horrible as you can see in the photo above. That is after 3 coats and I just gave up. The mop-like brush left deep grooves in the thick, yet super streaky and sheer polish. I wasn't able to get it to look any better even after thinning it a bit and starting over the next day. BAD!
Have any of you tried this one? I know white cremes can be tricky but...

Pure Ice Wild Thing & Dots

This is 2 coats of Pure Ice Wild Thing. It's a bit thick & hard to apply. I love the lime green creme though. Does anybody have a favorite lime green creme? I've tried Sally Hansen Lickety Split Lime and the application was horrid.

My sister, Alisa got me a set of dotting tools for Christmas. Lots of fun to play with, thanks Alisa! I didn't have a plan when I started and you can tell. I used Pure Ice French Kiss for the dots.

Tomorrow's the last day to enter my current giveaway.

Milani La Vie En Rose & DICI 063

Milani - La Vie En Rose, 2 coats

Son, I am disappoint. La Vie En Rose is darker and more red on the nail than it is in the bottle - I was expecting a daintier and more blue leaning colour. The formula was runny (not thin, though) and the polish flooded the sides of my nails on several occasions.

Milani - La Vie En Rose & DICI - 063, 2 + 1 coats

I love this blingy pinky purple glitter on my toes, but on my nails it looks a bit too chunky. This needs to be patted on because the clear base is quite thick in consistency, and the larger hex bits have to be fished out of the bottle and placed on the nail one by one.

Maybelline Colorama Ruby Flare & Beams of Fire

Maybelline Colorama - Ruby Flare, 2 coats

I filed my nails down and was feeling brave enough to sport a red lacquer. Ruby Flare is a delicious poison apple red and lands somewhere between a jelly and a creme. The formula was wonderful and the polish was easy to apply despite of the usual splayed out brush that Coloramas tend to have.

Maybelline Colorama - Ruby Flare & Beams Of Fire, 2 +1 coats

This was a gorgeous combination - look at the third picture! - and I think I may have just killed a lemming for Barielle Elle's Spell. I think that these Colorama flakies lie flatter on the nail than Nfu-Oh's and thus don't require an extra/abnormally thick coat of TC to get a smooth surface.

Color Club Pucci-licious, China Glaze Electric Lilac & IsaDora Black Tag

Color Club - Pucci-licious, 2 coats

Um, just wow. The formula in this was WONDERFUL, probably the best I've come across so far. Color Club calls Pucci-licious a neon but most don't consider it as such. It dries slightly matte, though but it's not retina-searing like neons tend to be.

Color Club - Pucci-licious & China Glaze - Electric Lilac, 2 + 1 coats

Electric Lilac has been in my untrieds since last summer and I figured it'd go great with the similarly coloured Pucci-licious. It was a nice combo, sure, but not really earth-shatteringly gorgeous.

Color Club - Pucci-licious, China Glaze - Electric Lilac & IsaDora - Black Tag, 2 + 1 + 1 coats

... And of course I had to see what the black IsaDora crackle polish would look layered on top of these two. I guess it looks okay but this combination devours top coat like nobody's business. This is with three coats of TC and it still wasn't smooth.

Essie Merino Cool

This is 3 coats of Essie Merino Cool, a medium toned, purplish taupe. I like it much better in my photos than I did in real life. Does that ever happen to you?

I finally started a Concrete and Nail Polish facebook page for those of you who like to keep up with blogs through facebook. I've also posted galleries of my favorite colors & my favorite manicures that I've done since starting my blog.

OPI Coney Island Cotton Candy vs. Sinful Colors Subdued

OPI - Coney Island Cotton Candy (index, ring) & Sinful Colors - Subdued (middle, pinkie), 4 + 2 coats

Perhaps a slightly dull comparison of nudes, but hey. Coney Island Cotton Candy and Subdued look relatively similar in the bottle, but on the nail CICC is much more yellow and Subdued definitely appears to be very pink. The Sinful Color is a nice self-leveling creme but it's way too pink to be a perfect match for my skintone. I guess the OPI can be classified as a jelly and as such takes tons of coats to be even remotedly opaque - I did four coats and you can still see my VNL. I think there are two versions of this one floating around - mine is from the newer batch.

Sally Hansen Myst You

Here are a ton of pictures of Sally Hansen Myst You taken in lots of different lighting settings. Such a strange polish! Myst You has an incredibly nice formula and this is 3 coats. It's a beige with a pink sheen only visible at certain angles. I had a hard time capturing the pink. Will says, "Ew. Fleshy.". I think this would look lovely on dark skintones but not on me. Blech! This one is going into my "to be frankened" bag.

Mini Divas Star & A New Favorite Nail Art Manicure

This is 3 coats of Mini Divas Star. I found this one at the Dollar Tree. The formula is just okay but I love the results! Beautiful sky blue creme that got me tons of compliments.

I got the idea for this manicure back ion November when I did this one. I used my smARTNails stickers to create a rising sun, half moon manicure. I love it!
