Hi dear readers,
today I have a new look for Valentine's Day: Smokey Eyes!
They're so basic, everyone should know how to do them! And they always look great :) I did a little varitation, it's not the total typical smokey eyes look, but smiliar.
I thought, some of you might be going out at night on Valentine's Day with their husband/boyfriend, so this would be something great to wear.
I decided to do it in the basic way, which means that the highlight is on the center of the lid and the inner and outer corner are dark. I made it black and grey, but you can use the color you like. Normal smokey eyes are way more smokey and blended, but I liked it that way today ;) Hope you still like it!
That's what you need:
- an eyeshadow base/primer (I used the RdLY one)
- eyeshadows in black, silver, grey and white (I got all of them from my 120 palette)
- a black pencil liner (I used the Essence Black Mania one)
- black mascara (I used the RdLY diamond wish one)
That's how to do it:
1. Prime your lid with your eyeshadow base.
2. Apply the white color (no matter if it's matte or shimmery) on the center of your lid.
3. Take a grey color and blend it into the white, going around it. The grey shouldn't be that dark.
4. Pick up a darker grey and blend it into the lighter grey. just fade it outward again, and also add a little bit to your outer lower lashline.
5. Add a thin black line to the outer line.
And then blend that out. It should complete the faded look. You can do it as smokey as you want to, I didn't do it that much. Also drag it up as far as you like to.
6. Add a black eyeliner line to your upper lashline and to your waterline. Also apply black mascara to pull the look together.
And that's it! It's not to hard to do, just be careful to blend well enough and to make the fade even!
Do you like it??
I'll see you soon!
xoxo, Misch

October 2010 Favs
Hey Beauties,

believe it or not, October is already over! Of course, this month I had a few special products I used the most, and I'm gonna show them now!
Alverde Baked Blush in 10 Peach - such a pretty and highly pigmented color! Love it so much, wore it every day.
OPI I'm Suzi & I'm a Chocoholic - the perfect fall nail polish, I wore it two weeks straight and I just couldn't get enough of it :)
120 palette - I did so many Halloween looks for this blog this month, and so I needed it all the time. There are so many colors in it, I love it.
As you might notice, there aren't that many favorites of mine this month...that's just because I didn't have time to do any different looks than my everyday looks and the Halloween ones I did a few times, so there isn't that much interesting that doesn't belong to my everyday routine. Because I think, if I did mention my products from my everyday routine, just because I use them so often, I would have the same products to mention every month. And that's kinda boring, isn't it?
What were your favs for the month of October?
I'll see you soon! xoxo, Misch

Halloween Tutorials: Torquoise Mermaid Look
Hey Beauties,

today I have another Halloween look for you guys! It's torquoise and would be perfect to wear if you are a mermaid for halloween :)
Let's get started:
First you want to select a shimmery torquoise color (mine is from the 120 palette) and apply it to you a bit over your crease, creating more of a cut crease. Then take a blue-ish torquoise color (120 palette) and blend it underneath the crease color, towards the lid. Then take a flat eyeshadow brush and apply a opaque creme color onto the lid, slightly blending it into the colorful crease. This color should be matte (I used the Catrice Nude Sensation eyeshadow in nude cream) so there is a contrast between the colors. There shouldn't be that much of a transition, make the line of separation pretty visible. Use a white pencil liner as you highlight on both the inner corner and the brow bone (Essence kajal pencil in white).
Apply a shimmery blue color that is more intense than the crease colors along you lower lashline (Alverde baked eyeshadow in intensive torquoise).
Now onto the eyeliner. I used a pencil liner (Essence Black Mania eye pencil), make sure it's sharpened! You want to line your top lashline and create a wing, same goes for the lower lashline. Make sure not to paint your waterliner, just the lashline! Apply black mascara.
Then you're done!
This look is pretty simple, but still not the same as any other look, especially because of the colored crease with no blending. Only the eyeliner could be a bit hard to do, but just go ahead and try it!
I hope you liked this one and I'll see you soon!

Halloween Tutorials: Crazy Rainbow Eye
Hey guys,

today I have another Halloween Look for you! This time it's a crazy colorful rainbow eye, I hope you like it! I know, this one is really crazy, but maybe some of you want to do it?!
Let's get started:
For the whole shadows I used my 120 palette.
This look doesn't have a defined crease, and every color was applied a bit over the crease, just so you know ;) All of these colors are shimmery, because I find that the shimmery colors from the 120 palette are better pigmented than the matte ones. And glitter was too much here. With this look, it's all about achieving the best color pay-off and belending the colors together seamlessly, so it's one fade from red to orange to yellow to green on the top lid, and from torquoise to blue to purple on the lower lid. Ther should be no visible color transition.
I first applied a pinkish red to my inner corner, then placed a orange color next to it and blended them together by using more reddish red. Then I put a yellow color next to the orange one and blended them by using a yellow-ish orange. The yellow fades into a light green, just blend them by using a yellow-ish green.
On the lower lashline, you want to start with purple in the inner corner, and slightly blend that into the pinkish red on the top lid. Don't blend too much, just a bit. The you want to place a mid-toned blue next to the purple, going outwards, and blend these together, using a blue-ish purple. When it comes to the outer corner, you want to apply a torquoise color and blend that into both the blue on the lower lashline and the light green on the top lid. Then you're done with the color! Make sure every transition is seamless!
Then just apply black eyeliner to the top lashline and the waterline, add some mascara and you're ready!
Don't overdo it with the rest of your face, just stick with very nude colors for blush and lips!
I'm sorry for these awkward pictures, they just wouldn't turn good :P
I hope you liked this one and let me know if you try it out!
xoxo, Misch

Halloween Tutorials: Blue Smokey Eye
Hi guys,

today it's time for my first Halloween Tutorial! I'm gonna say it now: This is not supposed to be a whole look or a costume, it's just a colored eye make-up, because I know that some people (me for example) don't like to wear complete makeovers, so a colorful "normal" look would be the thing to choose! Also, if you want to see any certain colors or something, go ahead and tell me :)
For this look, I started off by using a blue cream eyeshadow (TheBodyShopCream Eye Colour in 04 blueberry) on the outer half of my lid. Then I used several blue eyeshadows to create the look (120 palette, Rival de Loop Yound eyeshadow Quattro in 02 blue lagoon). All you wanna do is work your way back from the inner corner to the outer corner, getting the colors darker. Make sure to blend very well! In the very inner corner I applied a shimmery baby blue (Jesse's Girl Eyedust in Baby Blues), then I used the two lighter colors of the RdLY quattro on the lid and when it came to the crease, I first shaded it with the third color of the RdLY quattro and the blended the transition to the lid color with the tow colors from the 120 palette. The V-area had to get darker to give the look more dimension, so I applied the last color from the RdLY quattro, a blue-ish black. Then I blended the whole look towdards the brow using a nude skin tone color (Catrice Nude Cream) and used that a highlight as well.
On the lower lashline I just applied the two mid colors of the RdLY quattro to complete the eyeshadows. For eyeliner I used the Essence Black Mania Pencil and and the Essence Denim Wanted Geleyeliner in 01 vintage style. RdLY diamond wish mascara was used for the lashes.
Where blush is concerned, I just used a bronzer, but go with anything not too bright that you like. For my lips I used a light red lipgloss (Essence; don't know the name, it's old). If you want it to be more wearable, do a nude lip!
I really like this look, I think it's pretty! See this as a inspiration and change it the way you like it, using you own products! You could wear this when you are sailor for halloween, for example.
Do you have any color combinations or looks that I should do? Leave a comment and tell me!
Used It Up!: I finished my Evian facial spray, really liked it, but lately it started to smell bad :P
I hope you liked this one, I will try to do two looks a week, forgive me if I'm not able to!
Make sure to check back later, because I will post my Clinique skin care experiences, week 1!
