Milani - La Vie En Rose, 2 coats

Son, I am disappoint. La Vie En Rose is darker and more red on the nail than it is in the bottle - I was expecting a daintier and more blue leaning colour. The formula was runny (not thin, though) and the polish flooded the sides of my nails on several occasions.

I love this blingy pinky purple glitter on my toes, but on my nails it looks a bit too chunky. This needs to be patted on because the clear base is quite thick in consistency, and the larger hex bits have to be fished out of the bottle and placed on the nail one by one.

Spiced Chai nails

Gah! I have been in a serious funk this last week and even my nails haven't been making me happy. I have really been wanting to showcase some nail art but I can't ever get my fingers to match what's in my mind and it's just so frustrating. S0 what do I do of all things...I put on a boring-shmoring military worthy mani...which is really quite lovely if you ask me.
This is a combination of Milani Thai Tea and Golden Rose #111 (pity they don't have real names) which is as you can see a honey of a holo. Both of them individually and together really reminds me of chai tea, one of my most favorite beverages that is a mixture of tea and spices. I like mine sweetened with honey with a splash of vanilla creamer and served either hot or on the rocks. I brew my own with Stash tea or mix Oregon brand with milk and call myself a happy camper.
The Milani is pretty sheer so it's three coats over my OPI Ridge Filler base. The first coat went on pretty streaky but it evened out with the other two and got sealed up with China Glaze Fast Forward top coat. Initially all five fingers were Milani but I had just gotten my order from Golden Rose and it seemed like...well, serendipity that #111 combined so well with it. So two coats of that went on top of everything else on my ring finger and thumb,and another coat of Flash Forward finished it up. Aaaand looking at it now I'm realizing that I did a pretty crap job at clean up and taking care of my cuticals so pardon my mess. Why don't I notice this as I'm taking the pictures rather than later??
I need to get out of this funk, I think a nice bright color is next, maybe that will be the kick I need to pull myself together. What do you do to cheer yourself up when you're down? Read Full...

Are You Ready for some Brightness?

This is Milani's Pyramid Passion and it's such a bright happy color. I think my picture makes it a bit too coral than it is but this is a vibrant, bright pink and there is no way you can look at your nails when they're this bright and not be happy.
Look at how vibrant it is. Most of what you see is pink, and oh how very pink it is, but if you look closer, no closer...cloooser. You'll see a beautiful purpilish fuchsia shimmer in there that is just so glam.
When I first put it on my nails my initial thought was "Hoooooboy, this is just a little much" but I actually love it. It's very flattering and honestly, I love the bright flash of color.
Application is actually quite good. This is two coats but I still see just the tiniest hint of my nail line so three may suit better for some. The brush is very narrow and doesn't spread well so I didn't care for that too much but overall I'm very pleased.

ANOTHER RANDOM POST!

HI LADIES!! A week ago I received 2 packages one was came from Lisa GLAMMED UP and another is from Michelle THE LACQUER FILES... I was so happy when I received 2 packages in a week and what keeps me more excited it's a polish mail..woooooooottt!! woooottt!! let me share to u what manicures I came up with before I show to u what's inside with the packages...

on this mani I used China glaze fortune teller.. I've been wanting this polish so much ang I am so glad that Lisa able to send me this polish... I used different fauxnad plates for the spider web using the China Glaze millennium for stamping..

All polishes arrived safe aside from this Massini slamming red...waaaaa.. I love this polish so much and I know how much effort Angie made in able to get this polish so I think a best way for me to save this polish and for me to get a chance to swatch this Fabulous polish... I gather all the dried polish and put them in an empty bottle of polish with polish thinner & a clear polish then shake it to the max!!LOL!! then hola!! I've this gorgeous polish!! and I love it so much!!! thanks for looking!! happy polishing!!
