Best Tip Ever

Want your liner to STAY on your water line? Then keep reading....

Im not really a youtube person, but when I am in need of a tip, its the first place I head.

I had given up on lining my water line as the liner just never seemed to stay put. So whilst laying in bed I started punching every variation of 'eyeliner tips' into youtube. A load of things came up so I clicked on the video with the most views. It was by a girl called juicystar I think (Il find it and link it below)

Anyhoo, she shared a tip that every girl should know.

All you need is....

A cotton bud
Your chosen liner
An eye shadow in a dark shade
And a brush

So here are the steps
1. Lightly sweep the cotton bud along your water line to soak up any moisture

2. Line your eyes with your chosen liner,I used a gel one by sleek

3. Once you have lined your eyes, take your brush to your chosen eye shadow, tap off excess then lightly pat it over your liner

Thats it,your done!!

I had to share this for those who may have also been in the dark like me because it REALLY works.

I applied my liner at 10.30am on Saturday and removed my make up on x factors first add break, which I believe is after 9pm. The liner was still there and in tact with a slight wear on the outer corners, that was hardly noticeable.

I had to clean my water line to get the liner off! Enough said....

You can check out the video HERE

I hope this helps other ladies like me,let me know if you try it.

Fix a broken nail

So i once trained as a nail technician, and if anyone ever came to me with a broken or torn nail,i would simply repair it with fibreglass or silk

But the average girl doesnt have a strip of fibreglass to hand

So why not use......

A tea bag,yes ladies a tea bag

simply cut off a small corner of your tea bag, large enough to cover the broken area

paint your nail with clear varnish, stick the tea bag piece over the broken area, then simply apply another coat of clear varnish to seal it,and let it dry

Your nail will now be temporarily mended, woopi

tips of the day

  1. swirl your makeup brushes in cold water and a small amount of shampoo to clean them
  2. Applying a layer of loose pwder to lashes in between coats of mascara will make them thicker
  3. And by dabbing bit of eyeshadow over an eyeliner that may not last, gives it extra staying power
  4. hairspray on laddered tights stops the ladder running
  5. and painting the inside of (non gold or siver)jewellery with clear nail varnish will prevent you from turning green : )
  6. covering your finger nails with cuticle oil,or any other for that matter after you have painted them, will stop hairs and bits of dust sticking to them whilst they dry
  7. never pump your mascara,it lets to much air in which will dry it out, always twist
  8. apply foundation to eyelids as a base if you run out
  9. vaseline on the lashes and lips at night is the best treatment ever
  10. and always file you nails outside in never saw back and forth this will cause flaking and breaking(trust me im a nail tech)
  11. vaseline on split ends keeps them sealed temporary
  12. never rub your wrists together after spraying perfume,it crushes the fragrance and alters the smell,so let it dry ladies
  13. if you want to apply fake tan with no gloves rub cream or vaseline into your hands 5min before,it will act as a barrier making it easier to wash off
lol i was on a little roll there, but i have drawn a blank

mascara

I love my mascara

You have probably seen it around, its the best thing i have ever used,i will be reviewing it shortly.

But to get back on track,i love my mascara, but i hate that it tends to always dry out when im kinda broke. It actually isnt expensive,so i could just go out and get another. But like every woman,i choose to hold onto it and make it last instead.

so heres a couple tips for you all

NEVER PUMP your mascara,ALWAYS TWIST.pumping lets in excess air which dries the mascara out.

And if your mascara has dried out,but deep down you know theres lots inside.

Heat up some water in the kettle.

let it slightly cool

pour some into a mug or any other heat resistant item, like a jug or something.

pop yor mascara into the water,LID ON!

leave for 15-20 min

take your mascara out

and you should be ready to go

the hot water should bring the mascara back to its natural consistancy.

so if your like me and you want to make your mascara last, try it.

let me know how you get on.x

Stretch your shoes with ice........or even your hairdryer!

Hey ladies, this is more of a tip i picked up ages ago.If your shoes are new, sometimes they need breaking in.You know just, wearing about the house for a while before you actually wear them out.

Well heres a tip i think you will appreciate..........Set your hairdryer to warm and heat up yhe inside of your shoe or(werever you want it to losen)

Wait 10 sec for it to cool,PLEASE DONT BURN YOUR FOOT.

Pop your foot in,the shoe will now mould to the shape of your foot. You may have to do this a couple of times for optimal results, but it definitly does work.

Secondly, you can stretch your shoes with ice
This works best on peep toe shoes, and apparently can stretch a shoe a half to whole size.WOW!

I have only used this meathod once to see if it worked, and i must say,it did.

What you do is get two sandwich bags

fill them up 1/4 of the way with water

place them right down inside your shoe,if your doing this on peep toe shoes, pull abit of the bag through the peep toe bit.

Now put them in the freezer

when the water is COMPLETELY FROZEN take the shoes out.

put them to one side for around 20min before you remove the bags

When you have removed the bags, dry your shoes and pop your foot in to see the difference.

you can always do it again if it hasnt worked the way you wanted.

But like i said.Im addicted to the first meathod,it really works on those pretty shoes that have the tandancy to rub.

Happy stretching
